January 27 & January 29, 2026,
the Vermilion Housing Authority will accept pre-applications for the Housing
Choice Voucher (HCV) program (commonly known as Section 8) waitlist. You must apply in person. Applications will not be handed out
before or after the dates listed below.
You must complete the application at the location of your choice. Applications will not be given to take and
return at a later time or date. No
documentation is needed when applying.
Applications will be placed on the
HCV waiting list based on local selection preferences. Placement
on the waiting list does not guarantee that an applicant is eligible for
housing assistance. Final eligibility will be made when the family is selected
from the waiting list and an eligibility appointment is scheduled.

You can apply at any of the locations listed above. You only need to come to one location. Multiple applications will not increase your
chances of being pulled.
