If neither the head of household nor the spouse/cohead of an applicant family had a domicile (legal residence) in the PHA’s jurisdiction at the time that the family’s initial application for assistance was submitted, the family must lease a unit within the initial PHA’s jurisdiction for at least 12 months before requesting portability.

 

If you want to port, please complete a Request to Move/Port which can be found under the forms and resource tab. Your HCV Specialist will process the request.

 

If you are eligible to port, you will sign a new voucher and your paperwork will be sent to the housing authority of your choosing.

If you want to move, please complete a Request to Move/Port which can be found under the forms and resource tab. Your HCV Specialist will process the request.

 

If you are eligible to move, you will sign a new voucher and receive a new Request for Tenancy Approval.

Any time your portion of rent changes, you will be sent a new rent change notice.

 

You can also contact your HCV specialist and request a rent change notice.

Our current office hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm.

 

You can also submit documents any time via fax at 217-444-3172, by emailing your HCV Specialist, by mailing them to 1607 Clyman Lane Danville, IL 61832, or by dropping them off in the drop box located outside of our Administration Building. Office closures do not justify non-submittal of requested paperwork.

First, fill out a Change Form indicating the change. You will need to provide documentation of the change as well.
